An astrophotography setup designed for ease of use and image processing on the go

I’ve always been interested in photographing the world around me, but during the pandemic, I became interested in astrophotography. While I was able to take some photos with a simple tripod and 300mm telephoto lens, I wanted to take more detailed photos of the night sky. I needed an equatorial mount and a way to control it. Along with a higher magnification lens, I got an EQ6-R mount and a Raspberry Pi running Astroberry to control it. Along with some custom wiring and a portable power bank, I was able to take detailed photos of the night sky by camping in places known for their dark skies, like Laguna Mountain and Carrizo Plains.
